Orpheus day in Powys

In May 2012 Lyndon Davies and Penny Hallas presented a report on their ongoing Orpheus Project at the Myth Reading Group.

Lyndon has organised a new event on the myth of Opheus and Eurydice to be held in Powys later this month. See below for details:

Orpheus and Eurydice

Morning session 11.00am-­1.00pm: David Cook talks about his new book of translations of Rilke’s Sonnets to Orpheus (Redcliffe Press 2012)

 Afternoon Session 2.15 onwards: Open discussion around versions and interpretations of the myth and its relevance in the current age, followed by and interspersed with short presentations and personal responses literary and visual.
