Summer reading?

Madeline Miller won the Orange Prize for Fiction this week for her novel The Song of Achilles. If nothing else it proves the enduring popularity of ancient myth. The Iliad in particular is especially popular right now: see also the recent pubilcation of Alice Oswald’s Memorial and Caroline Alexander’s The War That Killed Achilles among others.
